Work Projects
HMM, maybe wait till fall!
Tetrahedron: Plan of action is to move it to the airport (done), pour
footings and install it inside of the segmented circle, paint it according
to federal specs and hook up the lighting for it. (I'm outa breath already
just thinking about it...)
Compass rose: Terry Wx will research whether or not we have enough room at
the airport to install one.
New
sign: The “Pilots Center” sign has been replaced; Rene’ did a good job.
New refrigerator: The Hoffmans donated a really nice refer to the Pilot's
Center.
The new electric Entrance Gate is in place and
working; the combination is the same as the old lock.
The County guys did a great job with the new
gates in the fence for when we turn into a Heli Base again!
Kudos and Thanks Tom Anderson for making that happen!
Scott Valley Airport, Bud Davis Field
The Airport has been renamed in
Honor of Bud Davis. The dedication ceremony was tremendous and a lot of
Bud's Family attended; Sign has been updated.
Fuel Situation
The power
box to the Fuel Pump is on the south wall of the restrooms and is locked. The combination is
the standard emergency Frequency. They have a new credit card thingy
(pretty simple I thought); give John or Mary a call for help if you need
it; 530-468-5490.
Transient Pilots should call in advance to confirm fuel availability.
